LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser hair removal works by delivering energy to the hair follicle, where it is absorbed by the hair pigment. This destroys the follicle so that the hair cannot grow anymore. The results are permanent reduction of unwanted hair.

Can anyone get Laser Hair Removal?

  • A history of keloid scarring

  • Active infection or history of herpes simplex in the treatment area

  • Hypersensitivity to hydroquinone or other bleaching agents

  • Use of oral Accutane within 6 weeks prior to treatment

Can I go in for treatment during my lunch break?

The powerful diode reduces unwanted hair in less time then traditional treatments, even for large areas. Since there is no downtime, you can return to regular routine immediately afterwards.

How many sessions are needed to see results?

Most patients receive 8 treatments per area. The exact number will depend on each individual person’s skin type, hair color and texture, and the area being treated.

What does the treatment feel like?

It may feel like a series of light snaps as they glide the applicator continuously across the treatment area. The advanced cooling system works on contact to ensure your skin is always protected and it makes the treatment as comfortable as possible. You might feel a bit of discomfort if you’re treating a more sensitive area, like along the bikini line.

How long will the results last?

Everyone is different, It depends on how your hair grows. Some people may see longer-lasting hair removal, while others who see sporadic hair growth in the area may need a touch-up treatment to maintain the results.

What are the before and after treatment care?

Before treatment: Make sure your skin is clean and no severe exposure to the sun (so no sun burn allowed). Stop using any products that might irritate your skin 2-3 days before. Remove all jewelry around the area being treated. Make sure to shave the night before treatment and also be ready with the names of any medications you may be on because that information will be needed.

After treatment: Be sure to gently clean the treated area twice a day and apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 before going outside; however, avoid excessive sun exposure. You should also avoid hot baths, massages, or any treatment that requires direct contact with the skin for the first 2 days after your treatment.
